New Sleepers
All our new sleepers are suitable for any garden use, water features, raised beds/ borders, decking, patios and play areas.
The oak sleepers are untreated and the pine railway sleepers are treated with ACQ timber treatments.
Pressure-treated timber is leach resistant, ensuring a long and trouble-free service life in a wide range of conditions, and assured performance in sensitive environments such as vegetable plots and areas of wildlife.
The chemical used in the sleepers is ACQ from Viance which is a green approved product.
Preserve® is treated with ACQ®, a copper plus quaternary preservative system that provides long-term protection from fungal decay and termite damage for a wide variety of residential, commercial and agricultural construction applications.
Preserve® Plus combines the preservative properties of ACQ with built-in water repellent protection that is pressure-treated deep to the heart of the wood, unlike brush-on applications that only protect the surface of the wood.
