These boards are a popular choice for cladding, flooring, decking and furniture making.
You can use them to make benches to bridges, planters to pergolas, beds in the bedroom to beds for your vegetables.
Scaffold boards are a great material to work with as they’re always a reliable width and thickness. Another benefit is that they’re quite long, up to a maximum of 3.9m and are available in large quantities.
At 220mm wide they make the perfect plank for deep shelving. When a greater depth was required two boards could be glued together.
With all the natural variation in colour scaffold boards would make a great choice for hard wearing table tops.
Gardiners reclaimed has bricks, tiles, sandstone cobbles and setts, pavers, Indian stone/ porcelain, York stone, new timber, sleepers, scaffold boards and much more.
I started my business in 1990 from my parents backyard and has evolved to one of the largest reclaims yard in Staffordshire.
I bought and sold Staffordshire Blue roof tiles to begin with and as the demand increased so did my need for space. The business moved to a small yard which we soon outgrew and moved to a larger yard soon after. It’s now located on a 1 acre hardstanding site which is customer friendly where we’ve been for 12 years.
We were constantly being asked for sleepers, scaffold boards, decking and new timber products. I decided to take the business to another level and timber is now one of our best sellers.
We’re only a small team however we’re perfectly formed to handle all enquiries.
Make no mistake, we are in the business of recycling building and architectural products, therefore if we can’t help we may know someone who can.
Lets face it, this isn’t just environmentally sustainable, it’s eminently sensible. As they say, they just don’t build them like they used to!
